Unforgettable Colleague!!!

I still remember the date as 6th July 2011. We were a group of 14 people and were allocated to different modules in one of the Project. I was mapped to a module called Clarity. When I asked to whom I have to report, my manager said Greeshma… Hearing that name only bought smile on my face as it is a rare and beautiful name. In Kannada Greeshma is the name of summer season.

From next day, KT was also started by her only and after few days, we also started working and I also started doing one work which she was also doing. That’s why everyone used to call her BAT-WOMAN and me as BAT-MAN!!!

I don’t know how many times I have asked her doubts, even though if it is a silly one or I am asking it repeatedly, till date she never felt bad nor hesitated to explain it to me again and again till I understand it. Such a lovely teacher she is!!!

She is the person who will always stay calm and will be doing her work even though there is any serious issue!!!

Whenever there is some joke cracked in our module, her voice will be in the top while laughing…(this is not a complain, but one instance to tell she also enjoy with everyone and not only workoholic…) Now I am not sitting in the same cubicle, but still sometimes I hear her voice while laughing and will go near her desk to see what has happened there!!!

I had taken her lunch box once when she was not feeling well. She also cooks good... :-)

She loves Dharwad Pedha very much. She only insisted me to bring it when I come back from Bangalore. She also wanted to taste Bisi Bele Bath, a famous rice item in Karnataka. That’s why I prepared once and took it to office but that day she dint come to office. At any cost I wanted to prepare it once again in order to give it to her to taste.(I can’t tell no to what she tell as she is my GURU and I have a respect towards her…) Tats why I prepared it and took it again… :-)

Normally I don’t write something like this about anyone, but I like to write on people who inspire me a lot… So many times I have told my parents about her.
Now she is getting released from this project and I don’t know what will happen to the Data Centre without her as everyone used to approach her even for a single small issue.

Whatever it may be, we all feel bad without her in our module. But Change is the law of Life…

Anyways we all will miss you and your cute, sweet smile Greeshma… :-)

Whenever I bring Dharwad Pedha or whenever I prepare Bisi Bele Bath or whenever I eat Chapathi-Sprouts sabzi I will surely remember you… :D

I hope when we come to your place you will take us for a round in your own car and you, yourself will be driving that car… :D

We miss you TENDULKAR!!! Had a great time spent with you and gained a good knowledge under you.

Miracles do happen!!!

Normally I won’t listen to astrology but I do believe it when someone tells me about it… Tats y even 2day when someone whom I meet, want to tell me about my future, I will be very eager to listen to it…
Last year in January, when me and my father had been to one of my uncle’s house, he asked me did I get the job or not… (at that time, even though I was selected to TCS, I was waiting for my joining letter from 4 months)… I said, no I am still waiting for JL… He thought for a while and said, u won’t get it until July…(he used to tell all those things abt astrology, earlier also few of our problems were resolved after performing the things which he told us to do after hearing abt the problem)…
I was shocked and saw his face in confused state… Then he asked me abt my birth star and then thought for a while and then said, “visit Lord Shiva’s temple for continuous 11 days and do 11 namaskaras daily”, it will help u in getting the job…

Even though I was upset after hearing that, I still managed to show tat I was OK in front of my parents( even they did the same to me, as they were also upset after hearing abt that )…
I started from the next day, continuously I went to Lord Shiva’s temple for 11 days.
After that, one week later i.e., on February 2nd at night 11:07 pm, I received a mail from TCS mentioning my date of joining !!!
I was on Cloud 9 and was so happy that I forgot that I waited as long as 4 and half months for my Joining Letter. At the same time I was wondering that which invisible power made it so easy and so soon!!!
I wanted to thank my uncle who advised me to do some Pooja, but unfortunately 3 days back i.e., 30th Jan 2011, he passed away leaving behind some unforgettable memories… At that time, me and my family members felt very sad tat he was not there to listen to this news 
I wanted to share this one week back only, but I didn’t find time to write.
Yesterday, It completed One year since I got my Joining Letter… So, shared this with u all…

My first Air-Travel!!!

It was November 21, 2011 and i was sitting in cubicle and was switching on my Laptop. As i sit in the corner of my cubicle i can see all who passes by there...
Suddenly i sensed someone coming and i turned my face towards that direction and saw my Manager was coming and behind two of my colleagues from my module only were following him!!! To my surprise, my manger said "Pavan, come with us!!!" I was surprised that why he was calling me. Without any other reply, i followed them with just a smile.
When we reached his cubicle, he opened his Laptop and showed us some matrix and said, "Pavan you have to move to Aligarh for some Rollout activity for 15 days. So don’t plan anything for next two weeks...I said OK without thinking anything and i was very sad hearing the name Aligarh :( I had not heard of that place also :(
Later my colleagues told me that it is some 130kms from Delhi...
Immediately one thought came in my mind. If i have to move to Aligarh means, i have to pass via Delhi only.(Delhi means i can take a flight from Pune to Delhi!!!)
Later one more guy from our office was also informed to come to Aligarh with me!!! and the most important thing was i had to leave Pune within 4 days!!!
After some discussion, our travel date was finalised to 26 November 2011.
We got our Air tickets on 25 November evening at 6 pm!!! Now i was very much excited to travel in Flight as i had never been in the Flight before!!!
Our flight was scheduled at 10:55 am and as i was very excited, i left the home very early at 9 am(Airport is only 5 min from my home!!!)
I reached there and was waiting for my friend...He came at 9:55 am and we rushed to get the boarding pass.
After so many checking and verifications, we were waiting for the next announcement...
After few minutes, we got the announcement to board the flight!!!Now i was jumping with joy as i was about to board the Flight and when i saw the mighty KINGFISHER standing out there ,i was heading towards it without taking my eyes from it!!!
When we entered in, the beautiful Air hostess wished us with a smile :) (Earlier i had heard that the Airhostess in KingFisher are very beautiful, but today I saw that!!! ;) )
Praise my Luck, i got a window seat!!! I was happy for it... The next person to me started talking with me. He was from Malaysia and had come to INDIA for a trip.
His name was Mr.Chong!!!
I tightened my seat belt and after few minutes, the Welcome note video by Dr.Vijay Mallya followed by the announcement about the safety measures in the Flight
was explained with the help of a video clip featuring Yana Gupta!!!
Then the moment came when the flight was about to take-off...The two small layers from the wings expanded and all the 8 antennas on it were focussing ground!!!
I never took my eyes out of window. Slowly the Plane started to move backwards and after a turn, it started in the normal direction with a formal speed and it kept on increasing and finally the flight took off!!!
I was also watching the small screen in front of me which was showing the map and speed, temperature and direction of flight...It was scheduled 2 hours,05 minutes journey from Pune to Delhi...The Speed of the flight was increasing as the height was increasing, but for us the flight was
like in a stand-still position!!!
Then I changed the channels and started watching other channels and the movie Singham was being telecasted in some channel...
Then they started to serve the meal. I was given a PavBhaji,chocolate punch and Taj Mahal tea!!!
It was tasty!!!
At some point of time when i saw the map and details, i was shocked!!! It was at the height of 10,000 ft and the speed was 980 kms/hr!!!
Ultimate of all these was the temperature outside which was -320 Celsius!!! even though we can see the bright atmosphere outside!!!
The flight was flying at a great height as a result all the clouds were looking like curd spreading after it falls on the ground!!!
It was heavenly to watch such a view!!!
After few minutes at 12:50 pm, one more announcement came in which they said to fasten the seat belts as we were about to land. This was the tough moment i was waiting for!!! within few minutes all the things started to appear big in size and we were few hundred mts above ground and finally when the flight landed on the ground, it was at a great speed and to reduce the force the upper part of the wings opened up and stood vertical and came back to their normal position once the speed was very less... :)
Totally i was very happy after my first Air-travel!!! :)
Then before getting down i wished my co-passenger who was from Malaysia and before i came out of the flight, again the beautiful Air hostess wished me a Good Day!!!

After getting down in Delhi what happened and about the Aligarh experience i'll write in my next posts...

Unforgettable Birthday !!!

Friends, till date there are three memorable birthdays for me.
Among them, i want to share the experience of one birthday... Plz find time to read this one.

It was the year 2007 and i was in the first year Engineering. I had finished first semester exams and was waiting for the result.Before i proceed, one small flash back !!!

The day when i was writing my first exam in Engg and it was Mathematics. Unknowingly i took my scientific calculator's cover inside the exam hall and when the squad came he had asked me so many questions about that cover thinking i took it there to do malpractice. :( By the time i convinced him, i was very much nervous and my mind was totally BLANK!!! I couldn't perform correctly and i was very much disappointed about my performance in the exam on that particular day.

Now back to story,
Days passed and i used to tell my frens that i have not performed well and i wont pass in that subject,but my frens were very confident that i will pass that exam.
At that time there was no internet facility in my home, so my fren told he'll tell my result.

It was April 17th and a day before my birthday, and i had been to Gandhi Bazaar with my parents to buy Clothes for my birthday!!!

It was 7 pm and my phone rang, it was my fren who called me to tell my result...( I had an idea of getting result that day because Mysore region results had already
come and next was Bangalore region)
I received the call and he told "results have come"

The very next question i asked was "what happened to my mathematics?"
he told in a low voice, "fail"

That moment i felt like some big tree has fallen on my head... I dropped the shirt which i had selected to buy and disconnected the phone.
I told the news to my parents and without waiting for them, i started walking towards home.
In the way between, i went to one park and sat under a tree and started crying... :( few mins later a small branch of that tree fell beside me !!!
Immediately i stopped crying and thought about my parents, and came back to home. There my parents were desparately waiting for me bcoz eventhough they called me
many times, i had not received the call.
They dint tell me anything, but i was not in a position to stand in front of them.
That day, so many feelings came to my mind and i was really crying all the night. I had the most worst feelings in my mind that night :(

Next day it was my birthday and i went to college, there also i dint lift my head infront of anyone and afternoon i was in Physics lab, one of my fren who had finished his mechanical lab, came running to me and told i have passed the Mathematics exam!!! I was ashtonished to hear this and i ran to the cyber cafe without asking the permission of my lecturer.When i saw my result i had really passed that Mathematics subject !!!
I took the printout of it and came near the lab and called my DAD and told him about this and started crying.My DAD was really happy ater hearing this :)

Then i called my fren who told me the result and told him the fact.What actually happened was, instead of typing 42 in my roll number, he has typed 52 and the
unfortunate thing is, the person having that number has failed in Mathematics.In the shock, he dint see the initials and told me the result.

Later on he told sorry to me, but it was not his mistake.Even he got scolding from his mother also.

That evening i went and purchased new clothes and my MOM had prepared sweets and i had a good time :)

But for one day, i had the feeling of the person who had failed and i dont want it to happen in anyone's life. It is the worst feeling someone can have in life.

It was the day when everything went wrong, but at the end of that day, everything became perfect.


Two days back,i saw one msg stating "Everything will be fine at the end, if it is not fine then it is not the end

"
So thought of sharing this with you all.
Never loose HOPE, everything will be fine at THE END :)
